Edward Jones of Bellevue Heights, a miner at the Bellevue mines, was seriously injured at the above mines yesterday morning by a falling of the top coal. Among the injuries sustained was a broken hip.

Edward Jones died last evening at 630 o’clock at the home of his son-in-law, Thomas Watkins of Hampton Street. Deceased was 60 yrs of afe and leaves 5 daughters and 1 son. They are:

DEATH OF EDWARD S JONES
Edward S Jones, an aged and respected resident of this side, died last evening at about 7 oclock at his residence on Hampton Street. Mr Jones was taken ill about 2 weeks ago, and his condition became rapidly worse. He was formerly employes in the Bellevue mines. Deceased was born in Glamorganshire, South Wales, and is 59 years of age. He came to this country in 1865, and has resided in theis section since that time. Mr Jones is connected with the Knights of Pythias Lodge of Taylor and the Bellevue Mine Accidental Fund. His wife died several years ago. Mr Jones is survived by 5 daughters and one son, namely
