JR Buckingham Dies After Illness
John R (Jack) Buckingham, Dover NJ formerly of Blakely died Monday at the Merry Hill Convalescent Home near Dover after an illness.
Born in Wales, he resided in Blakely for many years before moving to the Dover area. A former Blakely Borough police officer, he was at one time employed by Hudson Coal Co, Olyphant.
Mr Buckingham is survived by his widow, the former Miss Lillian Simms of Dickson City;
4 sons: William, Stoudsburg; Howard, Dover; George, Calif; and John, Baltimore;
3 daughters: Mrs Lillian Hamilton, Dover; Mrs Helen Wilding, Waymart; and Mrs Bessie Kemeny, Dover;
a sister, Mrs Arthur Pettigrew, Blakely
and a brother, William, St Petersburg, Fla
The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 pm from the Smith Funeral Home in Dover. Interment that city.
