Lillian (Buckingham) Hamilton
88, nurse, beloved mother
ROXBURY—Lillian (Buckingham) Hamilton died Monday 28 mar 2005 at ST Clare’s Hospital/Dover after a long illness. She was 88.
She was born 15 jan 1917 in Blakely PA, one of 7 children of John and Lily Buckingham. SHe married William Hamilton on 17 may 1941 in Blakely. The couple moved to Dover and later settled in Succasunna.
Mrs Hamilton worked as a nurse at Dover General Hosptial for 27 years. SHe retired in 1978.
She was a longtime member of Bethlehem Church in Randolh and a volunteer at Dover Christiam Nursing Home.
SHe enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family, to whom she was known as “Gia”
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William, her brothers William, Howard, George & John Bunckingham, and 1 sister Helen Wilding.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jane Phillips and her husband Paul of Succasunna;
her son Bill Hamilton and his wife Martie of Lake Anna VA,

her grandchildren Laura Longueira and her husband Tony of Fairfield, Conn;
Joe Phillips and his wife Sara of Columbus Ohio,
Sara Longueira and her husband Robert of Bedminster,
Amy Lloyd and her husband Brian of Chrales Town WVA, and
Andrew Hamilton of Va
4 great grandchildren and
he sister Bess Kemeny of Hackettstown.
A private funeral service will be held at Tuttle Funeral Home in Randolph
In lieu of flowers, donations to Bethlehem Church 758 Route 10, Randolph NJ 07869 would be appreciated.
