Lillian Buckingham Weds in Blakely
Miss Lillian Ruth Buckingham daughter of Mr & Mrs John R Buckingham 3rd St Blakely, and William T Hamilton, Dover NJ son of Mr & Mrs Thomas W Hamilton Lincoln St Dickson City were married yesterday at 2 pm at the home of the bride.
The Rev William J Reseigh, Blakely Primitive Methodist Church performed the ceremony before the bay window in the living room, which was banked with palms and honeysuckle. SPring flowers were used throughout the rooms.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a heaven blue street length dress with bracaded lace neckline and panel of lace down the front. Her large off the face straw hat was trimmed with heaven blue streamers. She wore natural color accessories and carried a Colonial bouquet of gerbera, pink and white seet peas and orchid.
The maid of honor, Miss Ruth L Browning, Blakely, wore a dusty pink dress made like that of the bride, with large off the face natural color straw hat trimmed with dusty pick velvet streamers and natural color accessories. SHe carried a Colonial bouquet of gerbera pink and with sweet peas and blue corn flowers. Miss Lois Buckingham, Peckville, neice of the bride, and Miss Beverly Bentham, Dickson City, niece of the bridegroom, were junior attendants. They wore blue and peach dresses, respectively. Joseph Hamilton, brother of the bridegroom was best man.
After the receptoon for the immediate families Mr & Mrs Hamilton left for New York, the bride wearing a beige gabardinesuit with Chinese red and beige accessories and a corsage of orchids. They will reside in Dover.
Mrs Hamilton, a graduate of Blakely High School, was empoyed a the Medical Arts Building. The bridegroom, a graduate of Dickson City High School, is employed by Hercules Poder Company, Kenville NJ.
