Death of and Old Resident…
John S Jones of Archbald street and South Ninth avenue, a hightly regarded resident of theis side, and father of Druggist DM Jones, of South Main avenue, died at his home yesterday afternoon at 330 oclock, aged 72 years, after several years illness.
Deceased was born in Wales but had resided on this side since 2863. He was a man of excellent characteristics, and a member of the Bellevue CM Church. The following children survive:

DM
William M
Franklin
and Alfred Jones,
and one daughter Mrs Margaret Smith, all of this side.
Three brothers: Jacob, Henry, and Thomas Jones,
and one sister Mrs Margaret Evans, all of the Bellevue section.
The funeral arrangements have not been completed.
Mr Jones was a member of the Slocum lodge of Odd Fellows.
