The Oakey family held a reunion last Sturday at Starlight, with a buffet luncheon, games and other entertainment.

Margaret Oakey
Mrs Margaret Oakey, Lancaster, Ohio, former resident of Waverly, died this morning in Lancasster after an illness. She was the wife of William R Oakey, a native of Dickson City.
Mrs Oakey, who resided in Waverly 6 yrs prior to her marriage in 1944, was employed for a time as an instructor on the staff of International Correspondence Schools. During WW2 she worked at the Murray Corp of America Plant in South Scranton. Born in Toledo, Ohio in 1913, she was reared in Canton PA. SHe graduated from Elmira College, Elmira NY, and held a Master’s degree from Trenton State College.
Other survivors are:
a son Robert, and a daughter Susan, Lancaster Ohio;
her mother Mrs Norman R Thurston, Waverly;
2 brothers: James, Waverly and Mount Holly NJ; and Scott, Waverly;
and several nieces and nephews.
