The Oakey family held a reunion last Sturday at Starlight, with a buffet luncheon, games and other entertainment.

William Richard “Dick” Oakey, 86, Dallas, Texas, died Sunday at Kindred Hospital, Dallas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret.
Born 17 feb, 1915 in Dickson City, son of the late James Arthur Oakey and Jane Ann Wear Oakey, he was a longtime employee of Mirror Insulation and lived in Penn, Ohio, Taiwan and Texas
He loved his work, the church, the XYZers, music, birds, flowers, parasailing and life. He will be greatly missed by his large family and friends.
His caregivers were Ric and Heather Valadez and Sherrie Montgomery
Surviving are:
a son, Robert
a daughter Susan,
a sister Fay Rose Miller
nieces and nephews.
Also preceding him in death were 10 brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held friday at 11am in the oak Lawn Methodist Church, 3012 Oak Lawn, Dallas
Arrangements by the Oak Cliff Funeral Chapel, Dallas.
