Gwendolyn Jenkins Taken by Death
OLYPHANT - Mrs Gwendolyn Jenkins, 88, former Olyphant resident, died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs Anthony Orlando, Elizabeth NJ, after an illness.
Born in Wales, she came here when a young women and resided in Olyphant until about 20 years ago. She was the widow of Jacob Jenkins.
Mrs Jenkins was the oldest living member of the Olyphant Congregational Church and was a member of Grace Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Olyphant.
Surviving, in addition to Mrs Orlando, are a son David, Olyphant; 4 grandsons, and 7 great-grandchildren

Mrs Margaret Williams for more than 15 years a resident of Olyphant, died Sunday morning at the home of her daughter Mrs Jacob Jenkins of Delaware street, after a lingering illness. Deceased was a member of the Calvinistic Methodist church and esteemed by a large circle of friends for her charitable disposition. She is survived by the following sons and daughters:
Mrs John Steed and Mrs Jacob Jenkins of this place;
Mrs GF Williams of Michigan;
Mrs Davis Francis of Illinois;
Mrs T Cadman and Mrs L Jenkins of Wales;
Richard and John Williams of Washington DC;
and Edward Williams of Wales.
The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon. Internment will be made in Union Cemetary.
