NEW BRIGHTON
Harriett P. (Hall) Boren, 92, wife of the late Ed Boren, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011, in Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born October 18, 1918, in Sellersburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Laura Hall and Lens Cleveland.
She was a member of the New Brighton United Methodist Church for over 78 years. She was an accomplished seamstress and had created many wedding dresses, prom dresses, and formal dresses from her home in New Brighton. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, the Harmony Class, and was a Sunday school teacher. She belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 173, now the Wenonah Chapter for over 50 years.
Harriett received a special commendation from the late William Webster from Civil Defense during World War II for volunteering her professional seamstress talents to make uniforms for women.
She is survived by
two daughters and a son-in-law, Myrna and Curtiss Crawford, South Beaver Township, and Diann Lamp, Ravenna, Ohio;
a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Judith Boren, Cranberry Township;
12 grandchildren, Jeremy and Jeffrey Boren, Cynthia Erbentraut, David Crawford, Debra Fencil, Craig Crawford, Marilee Tate, Rhonda Cornwall, James Lamp, Donna Bacon, Denise Morehead, and Thomas Lamp;
18 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband Ed Boren, she was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, James Lamp; a grandson, Robbie Lamp, and a granddaughter, Chrystal Rayl.

Friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, College Hill, Beaver Falls, where the service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. with her pastor, Rev. Rita Platt-Anderson officiating.

Private interment in Sylvania Hills Cemetery.
