My name is Llewelyn Buckingham and I am one of the great great grandchildren of James Buckingham born in Bristol on 16th January 1813 and of his wife Ann born at Barmouth , Merionethshire, Wales on 18th January 1816.My late grandfather, Frederick Llewelyn Buckingham, my late father Frederick Glyn Buckingham and I were/are descendants of Frederick Buckingham the youngest child of James and Ann.
  Whilst poring over the entries in  James and Ann's family Bible over the Easter period with one of my cousins I realised that there was one branch of the family about which we knew little about- namely Henry Buckingham, one of the other sons of James and Ann. After a few minutes research on the internet we stumbled across the Oakey-Rowe family page. To our delight we discovered that the Buckingham descenants in the U.S.not only appear to be numerous,but even after the passage of a few generations the same or similar names seem to reappear. My father Glyn, for instance, had sisters named Gwyneth and Dilys!
