per Lloyd Wright: “...The 1861 passenger list is almost certainly the right peeps. The family
records indicate that there was a son named "Shadrick", which comes very
close to what is in the passenger list. (The passenger list may have the
name spelled like the Bible, "Shadrach", but it's impossible to say for
sure.) In any case, the match is very close, and the name is so rare
that I'm ready to say this has to be the right people. Thomas is
missing, and I infer from this that he must have come over earlier with
his father...”

“...location for Charlotte Fry in 1870. She is in Valley, Montour, Pa with the Morgans. Look at her historical data. Mother, Jane, has records going back as I have connected with someone related to the Birch family. Jane's mother, also Charlotte, marries John Birch after the death of Jane's father, Thomas.
I was thinking of ordering the same marriage cert. I just haven't followed through thinking maybe I can find him somewhere in the death records or something. He must have dies between 1864 and 1869. Jane and David Morgan marry in 1870 and have daughter Mary.
Thomas disappears from his immigration until 1880 in Iowa. I wish I could find him in 1870!

“Regarding Charlotte Frye: According to what I have (from the family--no hard documentation), she was born in PA in 1887. I don't know where. Her father's name was George Frye (b. 1858 in Wales) and mother was Elizabeth Reynolds (b. 1863 in PA). They were married in Shamokin, PA, so that may give a hint as to where Charlotte was born. I don't have anything on Elizabeth Reynolds' ancestry, but George Frye's father was Charles Frye and mother was Jane Weret. Charles and Jane are alleged to have immigrated from "Georgetown, Tredegar, Wales" to "Frosty Valley, PA" in 1862. I can't find a locality named "Frosty Valley" in PA, but there is a "Frosty Valley Road" in Danville, Montour County, so that may hint where there used to be such a place. "Georgetown, Tredegar, Wales" is also confusing. There is a Georgetown near Merthyr Tydfil, and there is a Tredegar not too terribly far away (maybe 20 miles), but I'm pretty sure Tredegar isn't a county or parish or diocese for anything so close to Merthyr. Anyway, that's way more than you asked for...”

per Lloyd Wright:”...Regarding the 1851 Charles Fry. It certainly could be them. Seems like
the right area, and they did have a son Thomas, according to the family.
But I don't have any dates for them or for Thomas, so I don't have
anything to verify against except the names and general dates....”
