3. John Dickerman m. 1789 Thankful Smith (1768-1856); James Chandler (1769-1839) m. 1799 Huldah Payne (1779-1830). 
4. Seth Smith m. 1st Thankful Jones (1740-77); Stephen Payne m. 1771 Martha Cogswell (1749-1814); James Chandler, Jr., m. 1765 Mary Melvin (1745-1808). 
John Dickerman (1764-1848) enlisted as a private in Capt. James Blakeley's company, Col. Samuel Fletcher's regiment, Vermont troops. He received a pension. He was born in Vermont; died in Otsego County, New York. 
Seth Smith (1736-1820) was a private in Capt. Eliakim Smith's company [p.202] which marched on the Lexington Alarm. He was born and died in Hadley, Mass. 
Stephen Payne (1746-1815) responded to the Lexington Alarm from Lebanon, Conn., where he died. He was born in Preston, Conn. 
James Chandler, Jr. (1740-1824) was a minute man at the Lexington Alarm and served at Ticonderoga. He was born in Concord, Mass.; died in New Ipswich, N. H.
