EVAN HUGHES
Evan Hughes, aged 61, a veteran employee of Kingston Coal Co, died on Tuesday night at his home, 230 Courtdale ave, Courtdale, following a heart attack. He was taken ill last Friday while on his way to work but as late as Tueasday was able to visit the office of his physician. Mr Hughes began his employment with Kingston Coal Co when 8 yrs old, and for many years worked at the Gaylord colliery.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs Hannah Phillips of Carmichaels, and 2 brothers, William of Olyphant and Humphrey of Edwardsville. Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2 pm in Courtdale ME church. Internment will be in Mt Greenwood cemetary.
