Gilbert Oakey Fay

Gilbert Oakey Fay, 91, of Starlight, died Wednesday at home. His wife, the former Frankie Ballard, died in 2003.
Born in Dickson City, son of the late Gilbert and Anna Oakey Fay, he was a graduate of Hancock Central High School and an Army veteren of WW@. He was the 3rd-generation owner and innkeeper of the Inn at Starlight Lake until 1974. He retired as chief tax administrtor for the County of Rockdale, Ga.
Surviving are a son Gerald Fay; and 2 grandchildren, Eliot and Simon Fay.
As per his request, cremation was held. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Georgia. Arrangements by the Jones and Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
